General Studies

In the General Studies program, students will build a broad-based education. This pro- gram is more than a collection of courses chosen at random from the course catalog. Students in General Studies design their own program and pick courses that relate to a certain theme or concentration. Depending upon the course selections, students may earn the A.A. degree in General Studies or the A.S. degree in General Studies.

Students of general studies programs take a multidisciplinary approach to education. Programs combine study of the arts, biological and physical sciences, social sciences, and the humanities.
